Brand Development for Willow North Shore
Roles: Logo design. Creation of brand standards + guidelines. Design of print pieces, branded items, location signage, and web pages. Social media content creation + implementation.
The rebranding of Willow North Shore was inspired by modern architecture, fresh colors, and a desire to become a dependable, consistent brand. Willow North Shore is a local church, a subset of a larger megachurch in the Chicagoland area. This project produced a new logo, tagline, visual aids, and overall digital presence that was consistent and recognizable across multiple platforms.
The brand typography was selected to be clean and minimalistic, with strong lines mimicking the church’s modern architecture (designed by world-renowned architect Adrian Smith). The intention was to create a brand that was simple, marked, and tailorable to various outward-facing departments within the organization. Brand colors were inspired by modern Mediterranean influences, with an emphasis on blue as a tie to the greater organization.
The Willow North Shore brand was implemented across all platforms, including updated print pieces, branded items, location signage, and web pages. On social media, we developed awareness of brand and a consistent and engaged presence, focused on creating a realistic and inviting perspective of what it’s like to be a part of the community.
